She’s an inspiration

Sproles was diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer in 2012. On October 27 of that same year, she made the brave decision to undergo a bilateral mastectomy. “I did what I thought was best for me,” she wrote in an Instagram post commemorating the day. Since then, she has worked on several platforms to educate people about the disease and support women who suffer from the cancer.

The Pink Line campaign

One of Sproles’ platforms for breast cancer awareness is The Pink Line, which is an effort to educate young African-American women about the disease. Part of the proceeds from the foundation also go toward providing free wigs to breast cancer survivors undergoing chemotherapy.
